ABOUT US

Since 1987, Central Community Services, Inc., abbreviated CCSI, has been doing voluntary work helping the elderly Asian Pacific Islanders  in the Central LA community. For about 32 years, CCSI has dedicated itself to providing social welfare services to the Asian Pacific seniors and the low-income in our neighborhood. These services include, but are not limited to, Food Bank TEFAP food distribution, Taxi coupons and vouchers distribution,  interpretation services, social welfare information updates, medical benefit orientation, medical transportation services. Through out all these years CCSI has attained a great achievement in our voluntary contribution to the local Asian Pacific Islanders community.

     Food Distribution Services

We make trips to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, transport large cartons and packages of food back to our distribution site, where we divide them into equal shares and bag them up and then distribute them on the first Monday of each month, to the Asian Pacific seniors and the low-income in our neighborhood.

       Medical Transportation Services

Along with the food bags we also distribute the TAP cards for buses and taxi vouchers which we obtain from The Metropolitan Transportation Agencies (MTA). All these are given out also free of any charges to those in our community who are really in need of them.
